A good chair design smartly combines functional, technical and artistic aspects. The 4ME and 2ME lines of swivel and conference chair perfectly reflect that approach. When designing the product, Martin Ballendat was inspired by biodynamics and nature that has evolved through the centuries to benefit us as humans. This balance of different perspectives helped to create a chair that is key in supporting the functionality of any modern office.
The unique backrest design is one of the most interesting and fascinating elements of the 4ME product range. Besides the design itself takes inspiration from the branches of a tree, it also provides the ulitmate back suport. The four-point suport ensures the equal distribution of the pressure when leaning back while the inner structure makes the backrest extremely flexible, following every movement of the user's back.

Martin Ballendat has been a successful designer for 25 years now. Since 1995 he has been running his own design studio in Upper Austria. He has also opened his second studio in Germany. He has been working for famous brands from over 10 countries. His projects have been internationally acclaimed – in his career, he has been given more than 100 awards, including 17 Red Dot awards
